Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Health & Safety Consultant to help lead and grow our consulting practice in Ontario.
This role goes beyond delivering audits and compliance reviews. The successful candidate will play a central role in building a structured, high-quality consulting function, partnering with sales to scope opportunities, leading complex client engagements, standardizing tools and methodologies, and developing a small team of hybrid trainer/consultants.
You will act as both a trusted advisor to clients and a consulting leader internally, helping shape how OSG delivers scalable, repeatable, and commercially sound health and safety solutions across a range of industries.
This is an opportunity for a senior practitioner who is ready to step into broader ownership: contributing to revenue growth, refining our consulting processes, and helping build the next phase of OSG’s service delivery model.
This role is hybrid - the Consultant is to be based in the Cambridge/Waterloo region, and will work out of their home office, various client sites, and either of our Ontario offices (London or Toronto).
The salary range for this role is $95,000-$145,000.

Job Responsibilities
Consulting Revenue & Sales Support:
- Partner with our Sales teams to scope, price, and convert consulting opportunities; supporting renewal and upselling strategies with existing clients
- Lead discovery calls and needs assessments, followed by developing proposals, SOWs, and project plans
- Contribute to revenue forecasting for consulting services, own and achieve a defined consulting revenue target
Project Leadership & Execution:
- Lead complex consulting engagements (gap audits, compliance audits, COR readiness, WSIB Excellence, policy rebuilds, machine guarding, etc.)
- Build detailed workplans, timelines, and deliverables; managing client expectations and executive-level relationships
- Ensure quality, consistency, and margin discipline
- Ensure projects close with documented outcomes and renewal pathways
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Standardize consulting templates and methodologies along with audit frameworks and reporting formats to ensure services are scalable and consistent regardless of consultant assigned to the project
- Create internal QA standards to ensure the highest quality services are delivered to the client
- Improve internal processes, by establish utilization and margin tracking, along with project intake and handoff process
- Define playbooks for hybrid trainer/consultants for ease of onboarding and service delivery
Subject Matter Expertise & Market Presence:
- Serve as SME for Ontario H&S compliance and own monitoring upcoming legislative changes (OHSA, CLC, WSIB, CSA, etc.)
- Manage internal OHS including program development, risk assessments, etc.
- Represent OSG at industry events, participate in marketing efforts such as webinars and content development, or client specific workshops and toolbox talks
- Support product development initiatives across the organization
People Leadership:
- Coach and develop the consulting competency within the team
- Oversee workload allocation between training and consulting to ensure successful and timely delivery of consulting services
- Conduct performance reviews and professional development planning
- Ensure billable utilization targets are met
Education and Experience
- 7–10+ years of progressive H&S experience a must
- 3+ years in consulting or advisory capacity preferred
- CRSP or CHSC required
- COR or ISO Certified preferred
- Experience in provincially and federally regulated environments
- Industrial/manufacturing exposure preferred
- Post-secondary education in OHS or related discipline

- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with executive-level clients
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and support team development
- Systems thinker with experience in process design and continuous improvement
- Financially aware, with a focus on margin and efficient delivery
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scaling environment
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and willingness to travel provincially as needed
- Based in Cambridge/Waterloo with a reliable home office and secure internet access
